Ingredients
    Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Cream of Tartar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 Cup (1/2 Stick) Butter
  • 1/2 cup Plumped Raisins (To plump raisins, put in pan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and let sit in covered pan for 5 minutes. Drain.)
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 dashes Milk
Instructions

    Mix together dry ingredients, then cut in butter. Add raisins and egg.

    Add just enough milk to make a soft dough.

    Knead on a lightly floured counter. Roll out and cut into 1/2 inch thick rounds.

    Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 450 F for 8-10 minutes, or until bottoms are rather brown.
